A living village, grown together.
This is the long view — clearly marked as future, not a booking engine. We're working within an approved council framework, tending it thoughtfully toward something the valley has never quite had.
Council DA: MCU/2024/229
The previous owner secured Development Approval for a Tourist Park before we took the site on. That framework is already in place — these are the approved uses.
- 12 glamping sites (10 standard + 2 accessible)
- Recreation facility — spa, sauna, ice bath and amenities
- Food and drink outlet and shop
- Second dwelling / caretaker accommodation
- 34 car parks
A living village of natural building — and a hall for Natural Bridge.
We want to work within the approved framework and thoughtfully amend it toward a living village of low-impact, natural structures — as living examples, not just accommodation. We'd rather build a hall, the first proper meeting and cultural space for Natural Bridge, than a generic second dwelling. And we see Firefly Lodge as one node in a mycelium network of Regenerative Living Hubs.
“Firefly Lodge is not a finished product. It is a living project — history being honoured, land being tended, and a future being grown together.”
None of the above is bookable today. When there's something to come to, we'll tell the list first.
